American Steel processing started on the Northside of Pittsburgh near the old Heinz plant over fifty years ago.
Through the years we located to a different location on the Northside near the old Three Rivers Stadium and added on a Steel Servicing Center Warehouse.
In 2003 we relocated to Neville Island and operate strictly as a scrap metal yard that specializes in the purchase of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and fulfilling scrap contracts with local steel mills.
Our new strategic location provides easy access to all types of vehicles via Routes 51, 65, and Interstate 79. Because of our location, we can easily service the following areas: Greater Pittsburgh area, Beaver County, area's of Butler County, and Washington County. We can even travel to area's of West Virginia and Ohio if needed.
A One-Stop Shop for Scrap Metal Recycling
Some of the industries we service are rail, power, mining, heavy steel fabricating, custom machine shops, and nuclear containment vessel manufacturers. 
Dump hoppers can be provided at equipment locations to allow the transport of small materials to roll-off containers of various sizes. Lugger boxes moved by overhead cranes can be provided for larger materials.
Flatbed trailers can be provided for long-term loading of large sheet materials or delivered to the site upon request. All roll-off containers, flatbeds, or dump trailers can be requested for live loading to your facility or job site.
